In connection with the $28 million mobile upgrade fraud plan, Emmanuel Luter, 31, Joseph Ingram, 31, Dalontae Davis, 31, Donnell Taylor, 30, Dominique Barnes, 33, Delano Bush, 32, and Joshua Motley, 33, are accused with conspiring to commit wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.

While Taylor, Barnes, and Bush are from Southfield, Motley is from Detroit. Barnes, who was born and raised in Southfield, currently resides in Texas, along with Luter, Ingram, and Barnes.

The organization, known as the “Clear Gods,” utilized other people’s personal information to purchase iPhones, according to court documents. Officials from the federal government claimed they would purchase personal data online and use it to open AT&T accounts.

The con artists are charged with adding themselves to the accounts as “approved users” in order to upgrade the service lines at Apple outlets.

They are also charged with stealing employee IDs and RSA tokens to obtain access to AT&T computer networks so they could pose as workers. Then, according to claims, they allegedly started exchanging damaged tablets for AT&T tablets and stole computer towers from AT&T stores. This plan allegedly benefited from corrupt personnel.

They allegedly carried out more than 26,000 fraudulent transactions between June 2017 and at least September 2019, causing a loss of more than $28 million dollars. This allegedly took place between those dates and from as early as June 2017.
