well-known streamer and YouTuber Ludwig disclosed that a Las Vegas gambler had recently conned him out of tens of thousands of dollars. In truth, it was more like $50,000 rather than the over $100,000 he claims it to be. Still, that’s a lot of money, and he acknowledged that it’s a difficult lesson to learn.

Ludwig’s victory in the $100,000 buy-in celebrity cash game on Hustler Casino Live in May marked the beginning of the tale. Ludwig won nearly $400,000. He received half of his earnings in cash and half in a check; he placed the majority of them in the bank while keeping $100,000 for personal use. In order to gamble, Ludwig later traveled to Las Vegas for a friend’s wedding and brought with him $50,000.

He was down to $5,000 at a Pai Gow table after suffering a significant blackjack loss when he met Grayson Hunter Goss. Goss exaggerated his abilities, claiming to be a voice actor and a seasoned gambler who might assist Ludwig in recovering some lost funds. That’s exactly what he did, bringing his roll back up to roughly $15,000 while introducing him to a casino host.

Ludwig handed Goss $6,000 to gamble with before he departed Las Vegas and agreed to let Goss keep 30% of the gains. Then, Ludwig handed him $5,000 in cryptocurrencies after that went rather well. Ludwig was happy with the partnership and even cashed out $17,000 in winnings.

Soon after, Goss called Ludwig in a panic and demanded that Ludwig give him as much money as possible right away because he had a sure bet on a women’s French Open match. Maria Sakkari, one of the best players in the world, allegedly had recently split up with her boyfriend and intended to cancel her second-round match in order to finish the tournament.

Ludwig gave $50,000 worth of Ethereum to Goss for some unknown purpose. Sakkari did, in fact, lose, and Goss informed Ludwig that he had wagered $40,000 with his funds, which had returned $108,000 ($118,000 after adding the other $10,000).

Ludwig, however, never received his prize money. Goss made up claims about the person he bet with not having the money, and when questioned further, he concocted a story about being robbed and losing all the money as well as his phone, which he used to access the sportsbooks.

Ludwig immediately discovered that Goss had related the same mugging tale to poker player Ethan “RampagePoker” Yau at the World Series of Poker after receiving a $1,000 loan from Yau. At some point, Goss abandoned Yau and never got back to him.

Ludwig then had absolute proof that he had been duped. When he attempted to call Goss but discovered his phone had been disconnected, he knew for super-duper sure.

Ludwig eventually succeeded in reaching Goss after obtaining his current phone number from the casino host. Even longer yarns were attempted by Goss, but Ludwig was unimpressed. Ludwig finally persuaded Goss to confess to defrauding him after making a few calls, however he would never receive his money back.
